247 Watch Prayer (5/05/2024-11/05/2024)

Dear Heavenly Father: Your child _____ (own name), by the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, come to Your throne of grace, to receive You abundant grace and mercy. Lord Jesus, _____ (own name) acknowledge that You are the Lord of my life. I pray for the life-resurrection power of the Holy Spirit to saturate every part of my life. My soul body is completely surrendered to You. Now, I ask You to enlighten me and reveal to me of all my known or hidden sins, so that I may confess and repent before You. (Suggestion: Be quiet and let the Holy Spirit illuminate you)

I pray for the blood of the Lord Jesus to cleanse me again from all the filth from the world and cleanse me and my family from any unrighteousness. I also use my will to choose to forgive everyone who has sinned against and hurt me, releasing them into the freedom of my forgiveness and stop chasing the debts they owe me. I also unload all the burdens of my life to You, thank you for carrying my burdens every day. The burden You have given me is light, and the yoke is easy. I now also put on the full armour of God, the girdle of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, the sword of the Holy Spirit, the shoes of the gospel of peace, so that I may trust in the power of Your might, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and I may be able to stand my ground, and after I have done everything, to stand. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!

(1) Prayer matters for the country

1. To enter destiny—gratitude and self-purification

(1) Give thanks
【Psalm 150】 Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.

Give thanks and praise God, for His love endures forever. He chose and called us from among all people, and brought us out of all darkness into the light. His arm is never too short to save. He leads His people with wisdom, counsel, signs and wonders, kindness, faithfulness, and goodness, let us sing praises to God.

(2) Self-purification and repentance
【Psalm 19:12-14】But who can discern their own errors?
Forgive my hidden faults.
Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless,
innocent of great transgression.
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Pray for God to forgive us for often not seeking His will, but still making choices based on past experiences and our own preferences. Pray for the Holy Spirit to fill us, guide our steps, help us not obey the desires of the flesh, and be sensitive to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, so that He can through us, demonstrate His power and accomplish good things.

2 For kings and those in authority
【Colossians 1:16-17】For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Pray for God to bless those in power to govern the country with wisdom from God, to put heavenly truth in their hearts, and to enact all laws with righteousness and uprightness. May those in power accept the gospel of God, rely on God wholeheartedly, and lead New Zealand out of the economic downturn and the current chaos in public security.

(2) Intercede for all the peoples of this land
【Psalm 62:5-7】 Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
My salvation and my honour depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.

In this turbulent time, pray for God to remove the anxiety and fear of the people; to heal and touch those in pain and illness so that their bodies, minds, and souls can be restored to health. May the peace and joy from God, through His children, be conveyed to those in need around them, and let them also bring the gospel to those who are fearful and helpless.

(3) Pray for the church:
[Matthew 18:19-20] “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

May the church rise up to be a praying church, striving to preserve the unity of the heart given by God. Although each church may belong to different denominations and races, every church can complement each other and exert different gifts. Through united prayer, let the Lord’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

(4) Pray for Israel and all nations
1. For Israel
[Psalm 89:14-16] Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne;
love and faithfulness go before you.
Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you,
who walk in the light of your presence, Lord.
They rejoice in your name all day long;
they celebrate your righteousness.

Israel has proposed a truce agreement and will send representatives to Egypt to negotiate with Hamas, signalling the dawn of a ceasefire.
Pray that the hostage rescue work can continue to advance and that the people in the Middle East will find peace as soon as possible. May this negotiation go smoothly and the hostages be released as soon as possible; may God’s fairness, righteousness, love, and truth be practised in this land, and may people’s hearts turn back to the Lord as soon as possible.

2. They are the indigenous peoples of the South Pacific islands.
(Isaiah 24:15)
Therefore in the east give glory to the Lord;
exalt the name of the Lord, the God of Israel,
in the islands of the sea.
(Isaiah 51:5)
My righteousness draws near speedily,
my salvation is on the way,
and my arm will bring justice to the nations.
The islands will look to me
and wait in hope for my arm.

Alfred Ngaro & Milo Siilata, two important indigenous leaders from New Zealand, were recently invited to attend the Global Indigenous Prayer Gathering. Faced with the plight of widespread poverty and land plunder among indigenous people around the world, everyone realises that only when the indigenous people begin to use the gift of land management to become self-reliant and develop industries can they escape from poverty.

Alfred Ngaro & Milo Siilata have a profound responsibility and vision for the reversal of the plight of the indigenous people in South Pacific island countries, and hope to convey more of God’s heart to them. Alfred was the man and representative behind the scenes that prompted the South Island indigenous people to establish an indigenous embassy in Jerusalem.

Prayer: Pray that God will use Alfred, Milo and other influential leaders to awaken more Pacific Island indigenous people to accept the call of self-reliance, industry development, and land management, so that the islands in the South Pacific can enter God’s call and the country’s destiny.
