247 Watch Prayers (August 10–16, 2025)

(I) Intercession for the Nation
1. Entering into Destiny – Thanksgiving & Cleansing
(1) Giving Thanks
For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth. From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you.– Psalm 71:5–6
We thank the Lord for being our hope and support. From birth to old age, You have carried and upheld us, never leaving or forsaking us. Therefore, our hearts and mouths shall continually praise You.

(2) Cleansing and Repentance
“The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good.” – Psalms 14:1
An unfriendly person pursues selfish ends and against all sound judgment starts quarrels. Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions. – Proverbs 18:1–2
Lord, forgive us for the foolishness in our hearts—denying Your existence, refusing to understand, being ignorant of Your Word, self-centered, and desiring to show off. In Your eyes, this is foolishness and wickedness. Shine Your light upon us, reveal our sins and ignorance, that we may repent and ask You for wisdom and discernment.

2. For Kings and Those in Authority
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.– Isaiah 9:6–7
On August 9, New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon welcomed Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for the annual Australia-New Zealand Leaders’ Meeting, aiming to strengthen bilateral trade relations and face global economic challenges together.
Pray for the governing teams and the direction of the bilateral talks: that their collaborations would bless the people, that their commitments would align with God’s will, and that the outcomes would be implemented effectively.

(II) Intercession for All People in This Land
“Anyone who kidnaps someone is to be put to death, whether the victim has been sold or is still in the kidnapper’s possession.” – Exodus 21:16
“If someone is caught kidnapping a fellow Israelite and treating or selling them as a slave, the kidnapper must die. You must purge the evil from among you.” – Deuteronomy 24:7
July 30 was World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. The global community is raising its voice to address this serious transnational crime. New Zealand’s Immigration Department has also committed to continuing multiple efforts to prevent, identify, and combat human trafficking, protecting victims’ rights and maintaining justice and security in society.
Pray for the victims of human trafficking today: may the Lord intervene personally, releasing those trafficked and enslaved, allowing them to experience true freedom and healing in Christ, and deliverance from harm and bondage.
Pray for national leaders and law enforcement agencies, to strengthen enforcement, raise awareness, and dismantle trafficking networks.
Pray for protection over rescue organisations and teams, and for them to be given wisdom and strategy to carry out successful operations.

(III) Prayer for the Church
“An overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach… He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect. If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?… Deacons must be the husband of one wife and must manage their children and their households well.” – 1 Timothy 3:2, 4–5, 12
Pray for the overseers, deacons, and leaders in the church. May the Lord keep their character and conduct upright and self-controlled. Grant them wisdom and grace to manage their marriages and family relationships well. May they balance serving the church and building their own households, becoming godly examples for the believers.

(IV) Prayer for Israel and the Nations
“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! It is like the dew of Hermon, falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.” – Psalm 133:1–3
1. For Hebron (Israel/Palestinian Territories)
Hebron, located in the southern West Bank, is one of the key cities under Palestinian control. Recently, Sheikh Wadee’ al-Jaabari, along with four other tribal leaders, made a public statement seeking to separate Hebron from the Palestinian Authority and establish an independent emirate that would sign the Abraham Accords with Israel—pledging full recognition of Israel as the Jewish state and coexistence in peace.
We thank God for raising up Arab sheikhs in Hebron who courageously seek peace and are willing to negotiate with Israel and join the Abraham Accords.
Pray that God grants Prime Minister Netanyahu and Israel’s leaders heavenly wisdom to respond with justice and truth, to break away from past failed models, and to establish a new framework for peace.

2. For Syria
“I will seek the lost, bring back the strays, bind up the injured, and strengthen the weak…” – Ezekiel 34:16a
Syria has seen violent clashes in Suweida between the Druze and Bedouin (Sunni Muslim) factions. Over 1,000 lives have been lost, with many injured or taken captive. Churches have been affected, with members scattered or missing. Despite a newly announced “ceasefire,” surviving believers are facing immense hardship—no food, water, electricity, internet, or even hope for safety.
Pray for the Lord’s great mercy to be upon His sheep—bringing comfort, strength, and hope. May He perform miracles, providing food, water, and safety for His children.
Pray for the spiritual revival of Syria, that God would turn the nation around and bring a mighty move of the Spirit.
