247 Watch Prayer (26.01.2025-01.02.2025)
Dear Heavenly Father: Your child _____ (own name), by the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, come to Your throne of grace, to receive You abundant grace and mercy. Lord Jesus, _____ (own name) acknowledge that You are the Lord of my life. I pray for the life-resurrection power of the Holy Spirit to saturate every part of my life. My soul body is completely surrendered to You. Now, I ask You to enlighten me and reveal to me of all my known or hidden sins, so that I may confess and repent before You. (Suggestion: Be quiet and let the Holy Spirit illuminate you)
I pray for the blood of the Lord Jesus to cleanse me again from all the filth from the world and cleanse me and my family from any unrighteousness. I also use my will to choose to forgive everyone who has sinned against and hurt me, releasing them into the freedom of my forgiveness and stop chasing the debts they owe me. I also unload all the burdens of my life to You, thank you for carrying my burdens every day. The burden You have given me is light, and the yoke is easy. I now also put on the full armour of God, the girdle of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, the sword of the Holy Spirit, the shoes of the gospel of peace, so that I may trust in the power of Your might, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and I may be able to stand my ground, and after I have done everything, to stand. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!
(I) Pray for the Nation
1. To enter into destiny – thanksgiving and self-purification
(1) Give thanks
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
During this Spring Festival, thank the Lord for allowing us to reunite with our families (especially those in the Lord) in foreign countries. May we always rejoice, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances in the new year; experience the presence of the Lord in our lives, manifest the glory of the Lord in our work, and live out the love of the Lord in our families.
(2) Self-purification and repentance
For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
he is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the nations are idols,
but the Lord made the heavens. (Psalm 96:4-5)
May the Lord forgive us Chinese for bringing superstitions such as Feng Shui and the Chinese Zodiac into New Zealand. May Your truth illuminate our hearts and let us understand that these falsehoods cannot bring peace, help us to abandon superstition, worship You alone, and find freedom and hope in You.
2 For kings and those in positions of power
Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. (Psalm 37:3)
On January 19, New Zealand Prime Minister Luxon made his first major cabinet reshuffle since taking office, focusing on economic growth and the health sector.
We pray for the cabinet reshuffle in New Zealand, and ask the Lord to give Prime Minister Luxon and all the new ministers wisdom and foresight so that they can lead the country with justice, humility and the fear of God in the new year. May they seek the Lord’s guidance in making decisions and make decisions that benefit the people and are in line with the Lord’s will.
(II) Intercede for all the peoples of this land
[Psalm 23:1-4] The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
Pray for young people—The enemy, the devil, influences, controls and devours them through the Internet, movies, media, and the political environment. May the Lord protect, cover and shepherd them, just as He shepherded Joseph and King David. May the Lord raise up powerful leaders to serve young people, equip and revive young people to become the Lord’s elite soldiers and become a blessing for this generation.
(III) Pray for the church
[Isaiah 44:2-4] This is what the Lord says—
he who made you, who formed you in the womb,
and who will help you:
Do not be afraid, Jacob, my servant,
Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
For I will pour water on the thirsty land,
and streams on the dry ground;
I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring,
and my blessing on your descendants.
They will spring up like grass in a meadow,
like poplar trees by flowing streams.
[Isaiah 32:15-17] till the Spirit is poured on us from on high,
and the desert becomes a fertile field,
and the fertile field seems like a forest.
The Lord’s justice will dwell in the desert,
his righteousness live in the fertile field.
The fruit of that righteousness will be peace;
its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.
May God give His children a hunger and thirst for God, and give them the pouring and filling of the Holy Spirit, so that God’s children can be the light and salt of the world, and let them stand strong and become elite soldiers by relying on God in all environments, and bring God’s presence and power in their service, so that the church can bear God’s calling in these last days and attract all people to turn to God.
(IV) Pray for Israel and the nations
1. For Israel
He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth.He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
(Psalm 46:9-11)
Let us cry out to God for the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Gaza, and pray for God to intervene personally so that this agreement will be stable and sustainable, and there will be no more wars and casualties. May God take care of the hostages, protect their physical and mental safety, and allow them to return home and reunite with their families as soon as possible. We also pray that God will break the barriers of hatred between Israel and the Middle Eastern countries and establish true reconciliation and peace. May God’s peace come to Israel and the entire Middle East region, so that the people can enjoy the peaceful life given by God.
2. For America
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
President Trump has been sworn in as the President of the United States. May the Lord give him a heart that fears You and enables him to He seek Your wisdom and guidance in his administration. May You help him make decisions that are in line with Your will and lead the United States towards justice, peace and prosperity.
May the Lord give him the ability to distinguish right from wrong, promote peace in the complex international relations and resolve differences within the country to make society more harmonious. May You give him the humility to cooperate with all sectors and actively solve problems such as economy, race, faith, immigration, medical care and education to improve the lives of the people.
