247 Watch Prayer (22.12.2024-28.12.2024)

Dear Heavenly Father: Your child _____ (own name), by the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, come to Your throne of grace, to receive You abundant grace and mercy. Lord Jesus, _____ (own name) acknowledge that You are the Lord of my life. I pray for the life-resurrection power of the Holy Spirit to saturate every part of my life. My soul body is completely surrendered to You. Now, I ask You to enlighten me and reveal to me of all my known or hidden sins, so that I may confess and repent before You. (Suggestion: Be quiet and let the Holy Spirit illuminate you)

I pray for the blood of the Lord Jesus to cleanse me again from all the filth from the world and cleanse me and my family from any unrighteousness. I also use my will to choose to forgive everyone who has sinned against and hurt me, releasing them into the freedom of my forgiveness and stop chasing the debts they owe me. I also unload all the burdens of my life to You, thank you for carrying my burdens every day. The burden You have given me is light, and the yoke is easy. I now also put on the full armour of God, the girdle of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, the sword of the Holy Spirit, the shoes of the gospel of peace, so that I may trust in the power of Your might, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and I may be able to stand my ground, and after I have done everything, to stand. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!

(1) Matters of prayer for the nation
1. To enter destiny—gratitude and self-purification
(1) Give thanks
【1 John 4:9-10】This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
【1 John 2:2】He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

Thank God for loving us and sending His only Son to be born for us, made the atonement for our sins and enabled us to return to the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father. Thank God for not wanting anyone to perish and during Christmas, for moving many churches to hold many gospel activities, so that many people who did not know God could hear the gospel and turn to God.

(2) Cleanse yourself and repent
【Mark 16:15-16】He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
【Luke 21:34-35】“Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth.

Let us repent for not actively taking on the commission God has given us to “preach the gospel to all nations”, for our hearts that are often filled with personal needs such as food, clothing, housing and transportation, physical comfort, and the worries of this life and for spending too much time on our mobile phones, being attached to the Internet instead of the Kingdom of God and the righteousness of God. May God help us to have the mindset of the Father, to regard the commission of preaching the gospel to all nations as our own responsibility.

2 For kings and those in authority
【Psalm 2:10-11】Therefore, you kings, be wise;
be warned, you rulers of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear
and celebrate his rule with trembling.

Pray that the Holy Spirit of truth will continue to illuminate the hearts of those in authority, remove the selfish desires, deceptions and arrogance in their hearts, and let them know that there is a true God in the world, and with a heart of fearing God, let them formulate policies that are in line with God’s will, solve the people’s difficulties and benefit the country, so that all laws, programs, and strategies bring long-term benefits. Let those that contradict God’s truth, be amended or abolished so that the entire country can receive God’s joy and blessing.

2. Praying for all the peoples of the land – for the lonely
Psalm 68:5-6 A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling.
God sets the lonely in families,
he leads out the prisoners with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.

Prayer: As we celebrate Christmas and New Year, we pray for orphans, the elderly, widows, homeless people, and lonely people who have lost their loved ones. May God have mercy on the lonely people everywhere, and may God’s love surround them, comfort them, and help them. In this season of reunion and celebration, may they have the opportunity to meet God and know that God is their true Father for God gives the lonely a home and lets them find joy in Him.

3. Pray for the Church
Matthew 25:35-36, 40 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Pray: May the Lord lead the church to see the needs of the weak and distressed when preparing for gospel activities. Let the church approach them, pray for them, bring them possible help and encouragement, and spread the Lord’s love and provide comfort to those in need, so as to help them know God and enable the weak to return to God’s house. May the Lord use the church to spread love everywhere.

4. Pray for Israel and other nations
1. For Israel
Amos 5:24 But let justice roll on like a river,
righteousness like a never-failing stream!
Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

Pray for Israel’s current situation, asking God’s righteousness to be revealed, to remove the hatred and disputes between Israel and its neighboring countries, to grant peace, and to end the war. May God’s justice roll forth like mighty waters, allowing just reconciliation to be realized soon. May Israel’s leaders walk with God in humility, and obey God’s righteous and merciful will for peace.

2. Earthquake in Vanuatu

Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.

On December 17, a magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck Vanuatu, causing casualties and serious damage to homes. Pray that God will have mercy on those who have lost their loved ones and homes, so that they can feel God’s presence in their suffering, because God is their refuge in times of trouble. Pray that God will heal the injured and give wisdom and strength to government officials and rescue workers, so that the rescue and reconstruction work can be completed quickly, helping them reduce the impact of the disaster.
