247 Watch Prayer (24.03.2024-30.03.2024)

Dear Heavenly Father: Your child _____ (own name), by the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, come to Your throne of grace, to receive You abundant grace and mercy. Lord Jesus, _____ (own name) acknowledge that You are the Lord of my life. I pray for the life-resurrection power of the Holy Spirit to saturate every part of my life. My soul body is completely surrendered to You. Now, I ask You to enlighten me and reveal to me of all my known or hidden sins, so that I may confess and repent before You. (Suggestion: Be quiet and let the Holy Spirit illuminate you)

I pray for the blood of the Lord Jesus to cleanse me again from all the filth from the world and cleanse me and my family from any unrighteousness. I also use my will to choose to forgive everyone who has sinned against and hurt me, releasing them into the freedom of my forgiveness and stop chasing the debts they owe me. I also unload all the burdens of my life to You, thank you for carrying my burdens every day. The burden You have given me is light, and the yoke is easy. I now also put on the full armour of God, the girdle of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, the sword of the Holy Spirit, the shoes of the gospel of peace, so that I may trust in the power of Your might, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and I may be able to stand my ground, and after I have done everything, to stand. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!

(1) Prayer matters for the country

1. In order to enter destiny──gratitude and self-purification

(1) Give thanks:

[Ephesians 4:1-3] As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

[Ephesians 4:15-16] Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Give thanks to the Holy Spirit for giving the church the heart of unity. Although we come from different backgrounds, we have one Lord, one faith, one baptism and one God. We can each perform our duties and join together to become the body of Christ. Lord, thank you for loving us and helping us to love our neighbours as ourselves, to submit to one another, to treat each other with kindness, and to walk together in joy and hope.

(2) Self-purification and repentance

[Song 8:6] Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,
like a mighty flame

[Matthew 6:19-21] “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Pray for God to forgive us for not desiring Him wholeheartedly, coveting a comfortable environment and the pleasures of the world, losing enthusiasm for God’s word, following the flesh in our thoughts, heart, and actions, and losing our original passion for God. Ask the Holy Spirit to renew us again and show us that the Lord Jesus’ love for us is like a burning love. Let us always come close to Him, worship Him and run to follow Him.

2. For kings and those in authority

[Psalm 33:12,16-17] Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people he chose for his inheritance.
No king is saved by the size of his army;
no warrior escapes by his great strength.
A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.

New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Winston Peters held a bilateral meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in the New Zealand Parliament. Wang Yi also met with New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and Trade Minister Todd McClay.
Pray that God will bless the relations between the two countries with closer cooperation and mutual assistance in various fields such as education, immigration, trade and tourism, and that the economy and people’s livelihoods of the two countries will be restored and developed.

(2) Intercede for all the peoples of this land

[Psalm 33:18-20] But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.
We wait in hope for the Lord;
he is our help and our shield.

Recently, security problems have not diminished, and people have expressed concerns about their personal and residential safety.
May God’s true light come to the people, remove worries and fears in people’s hearts, and grant peace. We also pray that God will give the government wisdom and ability to strengthen police deployment and adjust police salaries so that residents can be better protected.

(3) Pray for the church

[Luke 10:41-42] “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

[Song 2:10-13] My beloved spoke and said to me,
“Arise, my darling,
my beautiful one, come with me.
See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.
Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves
is heard in our land.
The fig tree forms its early fruit;
the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
Arise, come, my darling;
my beautiful one, come with me.”

Pray for God to bless the upcoming Fire Conference. May all brothers and sisters come to God’s rich feast with hearts full of joy and longing. Let us put aside worldly entanglements, worship God in Spirit and in truth in our hearts, and encounter God in love. Ask the Holy Spirit to renew and inspire us again, and experience the glorious presence of God.

(4) Pray for Israel and all nations

1. For Israel

[Psalm 76:1-3] God is renowned in Judah;
in Israel his name is great.
His tent is in Salem,
his dwelling place in Zion.
There he broke the flashing arrows,
the shields and the swords, the weapons of war.

Hamas announced the escalation of the “Aqsa Flood” operation during Ramadan, calling on all fronts inside and outside Palestine to intensify confrontation and demonstrations against Israel. Israel has made comprehensive arrangements to strengthen security on the Temple Mount and Jerusalem and prevent many attempted terrorist attacks in its territory.
Pray that all the enemy’s schemes will be defeated and fail, and that the Lord will grant peace and protection to Jerusalem and all of Israel. Pray for the Lord to remember and watch over the military and police officers involved in maintaining security during the month of Ramadan, and to grant them a united heart and the wisdom and strategy to deal with any incident that may arise.

2. Iran

[Psalm 2:10-12] Therefore, you kings, be wise;
be warned, you rulers of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear
and celebrate his rule with trembling.
Kiss his son, or he will be angry
and your way will lead to your destruction,
for his wrath can flare up in a moment.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

As the Israel-Kazakhstan war continues, Hamas calls on Iran to step up its attacks on Israel during the holy month of Ramadan in order to achieve a united front and weaken Israel’s military strength. Ask the Lord to inspire intercessors around the world to pray with Iranian Christians for Iran: to change the spiritual atmosphere in Iran, and no longer resist and resist God’s actions, but to be open to the gospel and be friendly to Israel.
