247 Watch Prayers (13.07.2025–19.07.2025)
(I) Intercession for the Nation
(A) National Intercession Topics
1. Entering Into Destiny — Thanksgiving and Self-Cleansing
(1) Offering Thanksgiving
(Psalm 18:2-3)
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.
We thank and praise the Lord! He is our Savior, our fortress, our refuge. He is our strength and the One we trust. No matter the difficulties or challenges we face, the Lord is with us, granting us strength and delivering us from the hands of our enemies.
(2) Self-Cleansing and Repentance
(Ephesians 4:22-24)
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Though we have been baptized and become God’s children, we still may struggle with anger, jealousy, unforgiveness, selfishness and other behaviors that displease God. May the Lord forgive and cleanse us. Let His truth renew our minds so that our lives may be transformed, and we may bear good witness for Him.
2. For Kings and Those in Authority
(Micah 6:8)
He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Pray for God’s mercy upon those in authority. May He open their hearts so they might turn back to Him and receive salvation. Pray that the Lord would lead them to act justly, love mercy and govern the nation with humility. May the people live peaceful, godly lives aligned with God’s will.
(B) Intercession for the People — For Parents
(Proverbs 22:6)
Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
(Ephesians 6:4)
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
In this rapidly changing, dark, and confusing age, many lose direction and struggle to see the future and hope. Parents, too, often lose direction in raising their children — some are too busy making a living and neglect parenting, some are caught in anxiety from constantly seeking solutions to their childrens’ education and others are worn out from chasing social trends.
Pray that God will help parents seek Him with all their hearts, united in raising their children according to the Lord’s teaching and discipline. May they guide their children on the right path and entrust the next generation’s future into God’s hands.
(C) Praying for the Church
(Luke 1:17)
And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
Prayer:
Lord, give us the heart of the Father. Help us see that many lost and wandering children need to return to their spiritual home. We lift our hands in prayer and ask Your love to once again pour out and touch them. Let us continue to care for them so they may quickly return to Your house and become a people prepared and fit for the Lord.
(D) Prayers for Israel and the Nations
1. For Israel
(Jeremiah 23:5-6)
“The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land. In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The Lord Our Righteous Savior.”
Prayer:
May God give wisdom to Israel’s leaders, that they may govern with the fear of the Lord and act justly in all things. Bless Israel to turn back and know the Righteous King—Jesus Christ. May God bring salvation to Israel, deliver her from all enemies and disasters, and grant her lasting peace.
2. For China
(Nahum 1:7)
The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.
(Psalm 29:10-11)
The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord is enthroned as King forever. The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace.
Many regions in China have been affected by heavy rain and flooding disasters.
Prayer:
Lord of heaven and earth, full of mercy and grace, who cares for those who suffer—please show mercy and protect those affected by the floods. Grant them a way of escape and safe refuge. Give wisdom and strength to government officials and rescue workers so that relief efforts may be carried out effectively.
