24/7 Watch Prayer (05.12.2021-11.12.2021)
(1) Intercession for the country
1. Enter into destiny – gratitude and self-cleansing
(1) Give thanks:
[John 17:22-23] I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
[Acts 4:32-33] All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all.
Thank the Lord for giving us pastors, brothers and sisters, and spiritual companions, so that we are not alone on the heavenly path, thank the Lord for making us able to love each other, support each other and share wealth and woe. When all believers worship and pray as one, Your glorious work of mercy and healing will come upon us!
(2) Self-cleaning and repentance
[Proverbs 15:1] A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.
[Proverbs 21:23] Those who guard their mouths and their tongues
keep themselves from calamity.
[Psalm 19:12-14] But who can discern their own errors?
Forgive my hidden faults.
Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless,
innocent of great transgression.
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Ask God to forgive us when we face difficulties and pressures, we forget that God is still in power, and we allow depression, anxiety and worries to enter our hearts and utter complaints and negative words of unbelief just like those of the world. Lord, please forgive us for forgetting that we are the noble and free citizens of the kingdom of God, forgetting to be grateful, and forgetting that You let everything work together for those who love you. Pray for the Lord to cleanse our mouths with His precious blood, let us proclaim Your greatness, and always praise You with joyful lips.
2. For kings and those in authority
[Psalm 62:8-10] Trust in him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.
Surely the lowborn are but a breath,
the highborn are but a lie.
If weighed on a balance, they are nothing;
together they are only a breath.
Do not trust in extortion
or put vain hope in stolen goods;
though your riches increase,
do not set your heart on them.
[Psalm 67:3-4] May the peoples praise you, God;
may all the peoples praise you.
May the nations be glad and sing for joy,
for you rule the peoples with equity
and guide the nations of the earth.
On November 29, the government formulated and announced the legislative procedures for compulsory vaccination within 24 hours. The new law and the traffic light system will have a profound impact on the entire country. Due to strict vaccine pass requirements, the division caused by vaccines and the movement restrictions on people who have not been vaccinated will be exacerbated. Pray for God to have mercy on the government for making policies set by its own will. May God open the way for the people in the wilderness and open the rivers for those in the desert, so that more souls can find the true God in crisis and be protected. Pray also for God to keep the government acting justly; love mercy, and be humble in formulating various policies.
(2) Intercede for the people of this place
[Isaiah 42:3-4] A bruised reed he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
he will not falter or be discouraged
till he establishes justice on earth.
In his teaching the islands will put their hope.”
[Isaiah: 42:10, 12-13] Sing to the Lord a new song,
his praise from the ends of the earth,
you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it,
you islands, and all who live in them.
Let them give glory to the Lord
and proclaim his praise in the islands.
The Lord will march out like a champion,
like a warrior he will stir up his zeal;
with a shout he will raise the battle cry
and will triumph over his enemies.
Pray for the social impact of the new vaccine policy: people without vaccine passes will be restricted and “marginalized”, causing more protests and marches. Rising unemployment will cause heavy pressure on businesses and economic imbalances, and increased instability of medical staff will cause increasing scarcity of medical resources and will intensify the conflict between the people and the government or lead to political instability and public security problems.
Lord, You promised that New Zealand will be a place on the island where the people are waiting for Your instruction and singing new songs to You. Please remember the covenant You made with Your precious blood, and save the people of this land with Your love and honesty. In times of crisis, let more souls turn to You, trust in You, and may Your salvation fill this earth!
(3) Pray for the church
[Psalm 52:8-9] But I am like an olive tree
flourishing in the house of God;
I trust in God’s unfailing love
for ever and ever.
For what you have done I will always praise you
in the presence of your faithful people.
And I will hope in your name,
for your name is good.
[Mt 28:18-20] Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Pray that God will give the church the strength to run without giving up and to go forth without getting tired. When the darkness covers the earth, please let us offer ourselves as a living sacrifice during the Jewish Hanukkah so that the lights in the temple will not be extinguished, and we will also use good deeds and dedication to shine and make salt for this generation. Lord, You alone are the God who does wonders. Let us be guards of our priesthood. No matter how difficult the environment is, we must offer You the first fruits and worship You in the splendour of your holiness!
(4) Pray for Israel and the nations
[Psalm 77:12-15] I will consider all your works
and meditate on all your mighty deeds.”
Your ways, God, are holy.
What god is as great as our God?
You are the God who performs miracles;
you display your power among the peoples.
With your mighty arm you redeemed your people,
the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.
The Iranian Islamic regime has been actively demanding the development of nuclear weapons and their intention to eliminate Israel’s ideology, which has become the biggest hidden danger to Israel’s external military security. Pray for the Lord to give Israel the ability to deal with the threat of Iran’s nuclear weapons.
Lord, we praise You for reigning through all generations, let Your mighty arm redeem Israel from the hand of the enemy. You are the Holy One of Israel. The enemies of Israel will be ashamed and forever in panic, but Your name will be exalted throughout the earth. Please give the Israeli government and military departments the wisdom, tactics and strategy from You that can accurately weaken and cancel Iran’s nuclear weapons development plan.
2. Native Americans
[Isaiah 61:1-3] The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
God used the Native American mother Norma (the respected intercession leader of the Sioux people) to build a prayer house in the Pine Ridge Reserve so that the native people can worship the Lord day and night and establish an intimate relationship with the Lord.
Oh, God! Thank you for being the Lord Jireh, the provider of the native people. May You personally make it happen that more aboriginal people can awaken and restore their status as the eldest son of the land, and enter into the position and calling given to them by God. This we pray in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
