247 Watch Prayer (21.07.2024-27.07.2024)
Dear Heavenly Father: Your child _____ (own name), by the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, come to Your throne of grace, to receive You abundant grace and mercy. Lord Jesus, _____ (own name) acknowledge that You are the Lord of my life. I pray for the life-resurrection power of the Holy Spirit to saturate every part of my life. My soul body is completely surrendered to You. Now, I ask You to enlighten me and reveal to me of all my known or hidden sins, so that I may confess and repent before You. (Suggestion: Be quiet and let the Holy Spirit illuminate you)
I pray for the blood of the Lord Jesus to cleanse me again from all the filth from the world and cleanse me and my family from any unrighteousness. I also use my will to choose to forgive everyone who has sinned against and hurt me, releasing them into the freedom of my forgiveness and stop chasing the debts they owe me. I also unload all the burdens of my life to You, thank you for carrying my burdens every day. The burden You have given me is light, and the yoke is easy. I now also put on the full armour of God, the girdle of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, the sword of the Holy Spirit, the shoes of the gospel of peace, so that I may trust in the power of Your might, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and I may be able to stand my ground, and after I have done everything, to stand. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!
(1) Prayer matters for the country
1. In order to enter destiny──gratitude and self-purification
(1) Give thanks:
[2 Corinthians 4:7-10] But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
Give thanks to God for His unfailing love that always surrounds us. Give thanks to the Lord for saving us from various difficulties and snares time and time again. Thank you Father God for giving us the authority to overcome, allowing us to experience God’s great grace and power in all our weaknesses and difficulties.
(2) Self-purification and repentance:
[Psalm 81:6-8] (God says): “I removed the burden from their shoulders;
their hands were set free from the basket.
In your distress you called and I rescued you,
I answered you out of a thundercloud;
I tested you at the waters of Meribah.
Hear me, my people, and I will warn you—
if you would only listen to me, Israel!
Pray the Lord to forgive us for while having experienced so much grace and help from God, our hearts still turn to other gods and value worldly pleasures and honours. When God exhorts us, we are still rebellious and disobey; we are pierced by all kinds of sorrows. Please forgive us, God, heal us of our faithlessness, and renew our spirits so that we can listen to and obey You.
2. For kings and those in authority
[Hosea 10:12] Sow righteousness for yourselves,
reap the fruit of unfailing love,
and break up your unplowed ground;
for it is time to seek the Lord,
until he comes
and showers his righteousness on you.
[Psalm 33:16-18] No king is saved by the size of his army;
no warrior escapes by his great strength.
A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love
Data showed New Zealand’s annual inflation rate fell from 4% to 3.3%, reaching its lowest level in three years.
Give thanks to the Lord for keeping New Zealand’s economy stable, effectively curbing inflation, and laying the foundation for New Zealand’s economic recovery. Pray that God will continue to add strength and wisdom to government officials to effectively reverse the economic situation and restore national stability and prosperity.
(2) Intercede for all the peoples of this land
[Isa 61:3] and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
[Psalm 121:1-2] I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
Due to factors such as epidemic isolation, popularity of the internet, school violence and academic pressure, the rate of depression among teenagers remains high. Due to their inability to deal with it properly, many teenagers engage in aggression, self-mutilation or suicide.
Pray for the mental health of teenagers: Pray for the Heavenly Father to show mercy and heal the next generation. Ask the Holy Spirit to grant them peace that surpasses all understanding, lead them to know the truth, understand their precious identity in Christ, and reject Satan’s lies and deceptions, live in the kingdom of God’s beloved Son and enjoy a free and strong life.
(3) Pray for the church
[Ephesians 3:20] Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us

May God pour the oil of joy into His church every day, remove the fear, stress and depression in our hearts, and let us fix our eyes on God, meditate on His words day and night; love God with all our heart, soul, spirit, mind and strength, and love our neighbours as ourselves.
(4) Pray for Israel and all nations
1. Israel
[Deuteronomy 28:8] The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
[Deuteronomy 28:11-12] The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.
The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.
The ongoing war and unusually high temperatures since June have dealt a heavy blow to agriculture in northern and southern Israel, and the Israeli economy has been significantly affected.
May the Lord be gracious to the agricultural areas in the north and south of Israel, and grant rain of grace to alleviate the impact of extreme heat. May the Lord grant the local people wisdom and the ability to cope with it. Pray that the Lord will grant the government and citizens a united heart to work together to restore Israel’s economy.
2. For America
[Psalm 15:1-2] Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain?
The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart;
[Romans 12:2] Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Former U.S. President Trump was shot at an election rally, causing serious concern. This violent incident has made the U.S. election campaign even more radical.
Pray that the Lord will take power in the United States and put an end to violence and murder. Pray that the Lord will prepare political leaders who are in line with His will and lead the United States on the path of justice and integrity. Pray also for the voters of each state to make choices that are in line with God’s heart.
