24/7 Watch Prayer (07.08.2022-13.08.2022)

Prayer of Repentance
Dear Heavenly Father: Your child _____ (own name), by the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, come to Your throne of grace, to receive You abundant grace and mercy. Lord Jesus, _____ (own name) acknowledge that You are the Lord of my life. I pray for the life-resurrection power of the Holy Spirit to saturate every part of my life. My soul body is completely surrendered to You. Now, I ask You to enlighten me and reveal to me of all my known or hidden sins, so that I may confess and repent before You. (Suggestion: Be quiet and let the Holy Spirit illuminate you)
I pray for the blood of the Lord Jesus to cleanse me again from all the filth from the world and cleanse me and my family from any unrighteousness. I also use my will to choose to forgive everyone who has sinned against and hurt me, releasing them into the freedom of my forgiveness and stop chasing the debts they owe me. I also unload all the burdens of my life to You, thank you for carrying my burdens every day. The burden You have given me is light, and the yoke is easy. I now also put on the full armour of God, the girdle of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, the sword of the Holy Spirit, the shoes of the gospel of peace, so that I may trust in the power of Your might, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and I may be able to stand my ground, and after I have done everything, to stand. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!

(1) Matters of intercession for the country

1. Gratitude and self-cleansing for entering into destiny

(1) Give thanks
Psalm 5:11-12 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favour as with a shield.

Although the world shakes and is full of all kinds of changes, thank God that we can take refuge in Him, and He protects us with grace like a shield, and we can rejoice in the Lord and give praise to Him.

(2) Self-purification and repentance
Luke 12:42-46 The Lord answered, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns. Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose the servant says to himself, ‘My master is taking a long time in coming,’ and he then begins to beat the other servants, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

May the Lord forgive us for serving with a lazy, half-hearted, and bullying attitude when it comes to our due duties, work or service, failing to be faithful to the end, and neglecting the importance and truth that we will all have to account  to the Lord in the future.

2. For kings and the reigning
Proverbs 1:2-4 for gaining wisdom and instruction;
for understanding words of insight;
for receiving instruction in prudent behavior,
doing what is right and just and fair;
for giving prudence to those who are simple,
knowledge and discretion to the young—

The quality of a student’s education is critical to a country’s future competitiveness, but New Zealand students’ performance in international subject tests has been declining in recent years, and 40% of students who have obtained the NCEA Level 2 certificate have poor literacy and numeracy skills. Therefore, education reform is now urgent. To be awarded an NCEA certificate from next year, new standards in literacy and numeracy must be met.
Pray that the Ministry of Education’s teacher training program will provide more support for teachers and improve the way they teach. Pray for the education sector to establish a new testing system to improve students’ abilities and support individual needs.

(2) For this land and all peoples—for students and schools
Psalm 90:12, 16-17 Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
May your deeds be shown to your servants,
your splendor to their children.
May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
establish the work of our hands for us—
yes, establish the work of our hands.

The three-year COVID-19 pandemic has caused a huge detriment to students’ skills, knowledge and learning. Many have difficulty concentrating in school, and display anti-social behaviours such as refusal to obey, being rude to staff and fighting. The high absentee rate causes students to miss a lot of learning, widens the gap in learning performance, and makes school teaching difficult.
May the Lord increase the strength of the teaching staff and counselling personnel so that they can face the impact of the pandemic, be able to develop more appropriate teaching methods and provide spiritual support to improve students’ social skills and interpersonal interactions. Pray for the Lord to increase the enthusiasm of young people to learn and remove the obstacles to learning.

(3) Pray for the church—desire prayer
Matthew 18:18-20 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Through prayer, God has given the church the authority to bind and release on earth. May God’s people, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, receive this authority, through the prayer where two or three people unite, and bring about transformation at home and in the workplace. Let us pray together for the RPG prayer group training meeting hosted by Pastor Donald Young in September, and pray that more churches will receive the vision of the RPG prayer group.

(4) Pray for Israel and the nations

1. Pray for Israel
Ezekiel 34:23-24, 30-31I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd. I the Lord will be their God, and my servant David will be prince among them. I the Lord have spoken.
Then they will know that I, the Lord their God, am with them and that they, the Israelites, are my people, declares the Sovereign Lord. You are my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, and I am your God, declares the Sovereign Lord.’”

In November, Israel will hold its fifth parliamentary election in three-and-a-half years, and the result is likely to be the same, with no party in power. Such prolonged political uncertainty can be confusing, but there is no doubt that the Lord is leading Israel in a different way, trying to move on without strong central leadership. And the “King” of Israel, our Lord, is putting the nation in order, and He knows where to take Israel.
PRAYER: May God’s will be done this election and thank Him for watching over this country and its people. Pray for the nation of Israel to recognize and acknowledge that God’s hand is protecting them and reigning in them and that they can openly and collectively seek Him out of this impasse.

2. For China-Taiwan relations
Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

In recent days, US-China relations have deteriorated, and tensions between China and Taiwan have been rising again and again, and many people are concerned about the heightened risk of military conflict in Asia.
Prayer: Pray for God to work in the hearts of political leaders in China, Taiwan, and the United States to stop all actions that are not of God’s will. Pray that the Lord will raise up churches and intercessors in Taiwan and China to work hard and pray so that people can enter into the awakening of spiritual revival. May the Lord’s will be fulfilled in the Taiwan Strait relations.
