247 Watch Prayer (4.12.2022-10.12.2022)

Dear Heavenly Father: Your child _____ (own name), by the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, come to Your throne of grace, to receive You abundant grace and mercy. Lord Jesus, _____ (own name) acknowledge that You are the Lord of my life. I pray for the life-resurrection power of the Holy Spirit to saturate every part of my life. My soul body is completely surrendered to You. Now, I ask You to enlighten me and reveal to me of all my known or hidden sins, so that I may confess and repent before You. (Suggestion: Be quiet and let the Holy Spirit illuminate you)

I pray for the blood of the Lord Jesus to cleanse me again from all the filth from the world and cleanse me and my family from any unrighteousness. I also use my will to choose to forgive everyone who has sinned against and hurt me, releasing them into the freedom of my forgiveness and stop chasing the debts they owe me. I also unload all the burdens of my life to You, thank you for carrying my burdens every day. The burden You have given me is light, and the yoke is easy. I now also put on the full armour of God, the girdle of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, the sword of the Holy Spirit, the shoes of the gospel of peace, so that I may trust in the power of Your might, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and I may be able to stand my ground, and after I have done everything, to stand. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!

(1) Prayer for the country

1. In order to enter into destiny – gratitude and self-purification

(1) Give thanks:
Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the skies.
Your righteousness is like the highest mountains,
your justice like the great deep.
You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.
How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!
People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
They feast on the abundance of your house;
you give them drink from your river of delights.
For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light we see light. (Psalm 36:5-9)

Dear Lord, although we live in this crooked and rebellious generation, we have You to rely on, Your mighty arms are never shortened, Your words of life bring hope, You uphold us with bands of love, You feed us with heavenly bread and living water. Thank you, Lord for choosing us to be Your children. For all this, we are deeply grateful.

(2) Self-purification and repentance:
The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient. Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him. Another reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. (2 Corinthians 2:6-11)

May the Lord forgive us, for we use our own perspective to judge, condemn and refuse to forgive those who have regretted and feel ashamed. Please forgive us and help us to give those who have made mistakes a chance to start again , accept them, love them with Your love. Let every Christian become a witness of Your eternal love.

2. For kings and the reigning:
The God of Israel spoke,
the Rock of Israel said to me:
‘When one rules over people in righteousness,
when he rules in the fear of God,
he is like the light of morning at sunrise
on a cloudless morning,
like the brightness after rain
that brings grass from the earth.’
“If my house were not right with God,
surely he would not have made with me an everlasting covenant,
arranged and secured in every part;
surely he would not bring to fruition my salvation
and grant me my every desire. (2 Samuel 23:3-5)

May the Lord’s salvation come to New Zealand’s members of parliament and government officials, to have a new life in Jesus Christ, so that they will not follow this corrupt generation, to be humble and fear You, turn back to You, and make New Zealand a real land of flowing milk and honey.

(2) Intercession for all the peoples of this land
Brethren, I have some more to say: whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report, if there is any virtue, if there is any praise, think on these things. What you have learned from me, what you have received, what you have heard, and what you have seen, you must do all these things, and the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:8-9)

Prayer: As the end of the year is approaching, there are many complicated affairs and various social activities in the workplace. Pray for the Lord to help the brothers and sisters working in the workplace not to be blinded by trivial matters, to look up to God at all times, to entrust everything big and small to God, and always meditate on God’s words, so that when the environment is complicated, we receive peace and rest in the Lord, and testify more of the grace of the Lord.

(3) Pray for the church
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
(Luke 2:10-14)

May the Lord help all the churches to prepare for the Holy Spirit-filled Gospel Christmas gatherings, not with the mentality of doing work, but with gratitude in their hearts, seeing the humble birth of the Lord, and counting God’s endless grace, so that every brother and sister are one in spirit and serving with joy. Pray also that the Lord will reign among all the unreached people, let their hearts soften and obey the calling in the gatherings, be saved and return to the Lord.

(4) Pray for Israel and the nations

1. For Israel
Every warrior’s boot used in battle
and every garment rolled in blood
will be destined for burning,
will be fuel for the fire.
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.(Isaiah 9:5-6)

The conflict between Israel and Palestine has reached a boiling point again in recent months, with serious violence occurring in the West Bank and across Israel. The UN Security Council called on the international community to encourage dialogue and cooperation between the two sides to achieve peace.
Prayer: Pray for God’s mercy, to help Israel and Palestine, to replace violence with dialogue, differences with cooperation, and hatred with love. Pray also for the Lord to help God’s chosen people, open their minds, and let them see that the Messiah, Jesus, has already come and will come again to save all the children of Israel.

2. Pray for the epidemic in China
They have lived in it and have built in it a sanctuary for your Name, saying, ‘If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgement, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.’ (2 Chronicles 20:8-9)

Recently, the outbreak of the epidemic in many places in mainland China, coupled with the local government’s measures to block and control the epidemic has put great pressure on the people.
Prayer: Pray for God to help those in power in China to have the wisdom from God to formulate humane, rational and effective epidemic prevention policies, to remove fear from the people, and to give enough support to help everyone overcome the difficulties.
